So I keep hearing this song on the radio and the squirrels at 89x finally told me who it was . . . Neverending White Lights . . . the squirrelly squirrels then proclaimed them to be a local band and it turns out the guy is from Windsor. He (David Victor, I think?) also listed Matthew Good in his top albums of 2005. So that gives him ten Emily points right there.
Other discovery of the day: Jay Ryan -- designs posters and has a print shop in Chicago . . . saw his book "100 Posters 134 Squirrels" and lingered over it longingly for way too long at the Barnes and Noble.
One last thing: On Wednesdays there is an employee at the B&N who knows her stuff and will refer you to other places . . . she works in the music department and pointed me toward Neptune Records. "This IS Barnes and Noble . . . of course we don't have that." So ten Emily points for her too.
